The Leica is the pioneer 35mm camera. It is a German product - precise, minimalist, and utterly efficient.
Behind its worldwide acceptance as a creative tool was a family-owned, socially oriented firm that, during the Nazi era, acted with uncommon grace, generosity and modesty. E. Leitz Inc., designer and manufacturer of Germany 's most famous photographic product, saved its Jews.
The Saltshaker's website has just made an audio sermon available where Jacob takes a parallel with Judges 11 and shows the lesson to be learned through Jephthah in concert with a view of current events in Israel. It can be found be visiting their website here.
So what else should be expected from a pope who in his youth wore a swastika, the uniform of a Nazi, and fought for Hitler and the Third Reich, who now heads the same church that perpetrated the Inquisitions, and who operates from the same Vatican that shielded Nazi war criminals from justice with its infamous "Rat Lines"? When has the apostate Church of Rome ever NOT hated Jews? The latest Vatican action simply promulgates and continues their long, evil history. So what else should be expected from a harlot church who fundamentally rejects the Word of God? It stands to reason that if Rome rejects the Bible it will reject that the Scripture teaches the biblical land is the land of Israel, not an Islamic-Arab, redefined Palestine.

Re: Recent Alex Awad Article on "Christians in Palestine"
I direct a Christian missions and evangelistic ministry operating in several countries including Israel among both Arabs and Jews.
This past week our Bible shop and coffee bar outreach to the Arab community in Galilee was attacked by Islamic terrorists with stun grenades injuring one of our staff, Tino, an Arab Christian brother. Our work in the West Bank is directed by another Arab Christian brother, Pastor Najeeb, who has a family but of whom we recently learned has a Fatwa (an Islamic religious death order) placed on him for evangelizing Muslims. We have witnessed Hamas closing down the Christian book shops in Gaza and the Palestinian Authority a Christian TV station in Bethlehem last April, all of which the Israeli authorities allowed to operate. We are therefore confused by the Awad article lauding the friendship between Arab Muslims and Christians.
A Response To A Reader's Letter Concerning Petition To UN To Oppose Anti-Religious Freedom Resolution
Moriel and I (Jacob Prasch) do indeed oppose this current outrageous "anti-religious freedom" UN Resolution (being pushed by Islamic nations). But I am afraid we cannot any longer cooperate with the Open Doors organization in anything and the fact is that we have no more respect for Open Doors than we do for the UN.
A new website called "Proclamation to Israel" has been launched to coordinate efforts to allow private citizens to directly express their personal support for Israel, something necessary due to the growing contrary views of our government. The site contains downloadable documents which can be signed and sent directly to the Prime Minister of Israel.
This is a fantastic opportunity to open the door with your Jewish friends by printing out one of these proclamations with their name on it, or as has already been done, printing it with the name of your local synagogue's rabbi and presenting it to him for his congregation to also sign and send in. Expressing your love and support for Israel may provide the opportunity to share Yeshua.
The purpose of the proclamation as stated on the website is:
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and the Knesset Members are under tremendous pressure from world powers to divide the Land of Israel that was given to them as an everlasting covenant by the Lord God of Israel. Not only are they surrounded by their enemies, but the European Union and the United Nations are coming strongly against Israel. Even the United States of America, under the current administration, is turning their back on Israel and joining the EU and UN to force Israel into a position that will bring their possible destruction.
We invite you to stand with us in showing our support to Israel. Our Lord said "Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God". Below is a Proclamation to Israel showing our love and support for Israel. Please add the name of your church and pastor(s) to the bottom of the proclamation. Included is a signature sheet for your congregation.
We encourage you to make copies of these files and give them to other pastors and churches and groups who would like to express their love and support of Israel.
After the Proclamation is signed, the document can be mailed to Mr. Netanyahu at the following address:
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
3 Kaplan Street
Hakirya, Jerusalem, Israel 91950
Please visit the website and encourage members of your local fellowship to participate.

Yesterday Monica and I spent a day at the Greenbelt Christian Arts festival, our first visit for some 20 years. It was interesting and challenging, but all for the wrong reasons. For me it vindicated my choice of subjects to write about, but for the 20,000 or so Christians - particularly the young and vulnerable - I fear for them, for the teaching and propaganda they received over the 4 day event. Firstly, propaganda. Greenbelt has decided to target Israel, a decision made around 3 years ago, and to highlight the plight of the Palestinians living in Gaza. That's fair enough, if a balanced view is given and their views are presented sensitively in Christian love. They decided instead to go all-out, all-guns-blazing, with a sustained attack on Israel through every way possible - talks, exhibition displays, visual aids even drama. The following little drama greeted everyone entering the field on Sunday morning for a communion service ...

That Laidlaw College (formerly Bible College of New Zealand) has departed from its scripturally Evangelical origins into spiritual and doctrinal bankruptcy is a view I find widely held by many Scripture-believing Kiwi Evangelicals. Indeed, with its present senior lecturer Philip Church, I cannot help but make the case that its perceived abandonment of its heritage into the abject realm of compromise with increasing liberal theological influence is now being followed by an academic and ethical devaluation into non-comprehensive exegesis and revisionism with regard to the anti-Israel position of Mr. Church in his factually and doctrinally erroneous Christ at The Checkpoint article.
