IF YOU RECENTLY VISITED THE NEW SITE: Refreshing the view of each page (CTRL+R in FireFox or F5 in Internet Explorer) will allow you to see the site in a slightly larger font size going forward. We have just begun the conversion processs to a completely new website design and reorganization. Regular visitors to the site will notice the change immediately in the core pages, but it's going to take some time to convert every page published on Moriel.org. In the mean time some pages will still be displaying in the older blue-and-white format and should continue to work fine. Prayer Requests

Moriel and Jacob Prasch request urgent prayer for the new born granddaughter of Erwin and Marion, Moriel volunteer reps and home group leaders in Cape Town, So, Africa. Kidney surgery may become necessary. We pray for healing and wisdom for the physicians as well as God´s peace for the family.
Moriel & Jacob Prasch request prayer for Kathy, the wife of Tommy Smith, an Irish Gypsy evangelist ion the UK. She is diagnosed with serious cancer and is suffering severe weight loss and other symptoms.
Moriel & Jacob Prasch request prayer for Scott Brisk's son-in-law, Jim Abear, who has been diagnosed with Syringomyelia. Please pray for Jim and his wife and 3 children during this time of need. Please pray for the right Drs to help Jim with the Syringomyelia and a complete healing.
Moriel & Jacob Prasch request prayer for Sandra Lewis, a UK Moriel volunteer from Liverpool who is diagnosed with a malignant breast tumor and scheduled to undergo surgery.
Jacob Prasch & Moriel request prayer for Sister BJ , a deaconess and ex Roman Catholic nun at the Jericho Ranch in California (part of the ministry of Moriel on The West Coast) . BJ has had ongoing health issues which among other things have seriously affected her ears and is advised to undergo a surgical procedure.
Moriel & Jacob Prasch sincerely request prayer for Brother Stewart Dool and his family in England. Stewart is Director of Intercessors For Britain (an important and much needed ministry endorsed by Moriel). Stewart has been diagnosed with motor neuron disease. Our God is greater than this infirmity. Let us all please remember Stewart in our prayers.
On behalf of all at Moriel we continue to thank our brethren for their prayers for Danny and Jacob. Danny remains on three times weekly kidney dialysis. Please pray his condition improves.

Danny had installed a permanent fistula in the left arm for dialysis and is painful. Also he is scheduled for eye surgery this week. Jacob is finishing up his USA tour. Please remember him in your prayers as well.

We regret to announce that due to health related reasons the April 2010 Bible Study Tour of Greece will need to be postponed until 2011.
The Israel tour in October 2010 will continue as planned.

Bible Interpretation Conference

In an age of Purpose Driven agendas, Emergence,
ecumenism, various New Age popular books, and a form of Christianity increadingly drawing on aspects psychology, how are these departues from biblical orthodoxy being biblically justified? How might everyday Christians engage in sound biblical interpretation, enabling them to challenge such views? This conference will focus on equipping lay Christians to develop their own knowledge, understanding and skills of hermeneutics (biblical interpretation) so that they feel confident both to apply the Bible in their own life setting and to challenge error.

The conference will also focus on some of the theoretical issues raised by hermeneutics, together with a survey of the results of poor or incorrect biblical interpretation.

Topics will include

Basic introduction to and rules of biblical interpretation
How biblical interpretation has evolved throughout the church’s history
The dangers, pitfalls and lessons we can learn from poor or unsound biblical interpretation
Latest developments in hermeneutics and their impact on segments of the church today
The hermeneutical roots of present day heresy
How Jesus and the Apostles interpreted Scripture, and how might we get back to this
Jewish Christian approaches to the Bible
What flawed biblical interpretation might mean for the church in the future

Conference attendees will also learn about the Patristic approach to biblical interpretation, what is Gnosticism (and its various expressions throughout church history), problems with Talmudic commentary, Reformed hermeneutics, humanism, higher criticism, twentieth century approaches to the Bible, such as liberation theology, and a newfound interest in biblical theology.< This conference is a must for those who desire to take their knowledge and skills of biblical interpretation to the next level.
