South Africa Missions Report November 2009

Dear Friends

We want to end this year giving praise to our God for His supply that he has often wrought through you. When David Lister asked me to put together a review of the year I felt quite daunted as so much has happened and I did not want to forget to thank anyone for their input. So that’s why I want to begin with thanks giving to our God and to our supporters for all that you have done. From Jacob and Dave Lister who always mention the work wherever they go, to all our administrators who are so supportive, to my family who put up with my insecurities and especially to my parents who host me. Tanzania and Kenya Update – November 2008

A Kenyan Pastor had a revival meeting in Eldoret. Many hundreds were saved by Gods grace and after the service a young women came and asked the Pastor a question. She said “Now how do I eat?” The Pastor said to her, “what do you mean? You don’t look hungry, you look well fed”. “That’s true she said, but you don’t understand. Until I got saved this evening I fed myself through prostitution, now I can’t do that. Tell me Pastor how shall I eat?” Poverty does wicked things to people. The story of this lady really touched my heart and gave me an understanding of how things work on the ground level in the poorest regions of Kenya and Tanzania. This ladies story is a challenge to the church as it operates in these areas because this lady is just one of a million stories of poverty and hardship. Continue reading →

Tanzania Update July 2008

Dear Brothers and Sisters,
First of all I need to say thank you for all the donations that have come in for the establishment of Ebyown Children’s Village Tanzania. I am overjoyed that God through you has supplied the resources for this great need.

Tanzania Missions Report – June 2008

The object of our trip to Tanzania was three fold. First of all to give Jacob opportunity to meet Norbert and his board members. Secondly to see the work first hand and finally to build up the brethren with some solid Bible teaching. However this visit would not only achieve all these things but instill in Moriel a sense of urgency through some of the incidents that happened. Continue reading →

Tanzania Missions February 2008

Our trip to Tanzania was long overdue. Allen Wells and I had looked forward to this for months and it was with great anticipation that we boarded the plane to Dar Re Salaam and then onto Kilimanjaro. I had first met Ps Norbert two years earlier while on Mission in Kenya and he had willingly agreed to take on the role as our mission’s representative in this vibrant yet poor country. I went there to see the progress of Moriel Missions Tanzania, now an official government Non Profit organization, and I was really impressed with the progress under Norbert’s leadership.
