We are adding this to our Links page but thought to post it here as well. They have a web page called “Ministry Watch” which is an excellent resource for finding out the financial condition of many ministries. On the front page is a list of “30 Shining Light Ministries” who do the best job of getting as close to 100% of donations out to the field, and “30 Donor Alert Ministries” which is a kind of financial hall of shame. They provide this report which briefly states the problem with each “winner”.
Rick Warren has joined anti Israel activist Colin Chapman, heretical Emergent church guru Brian Maclaren, apostate positive thinking church marketing demagogue of the now bankrupt Chrystal Cathedral Robert Shuller, and Korean advocate of a hybred of Christinity and mystical Buddhism Yongee Cho as a signatory of the Yale Chrislam document identifying YHWH the God of Israel and the Judeo Christian scriptures with the ancient Nabaten moon god allah of Islam. Bible Prophecy pundit, Jack Van Impe, has just announced that he will be canceling his TV program, âJack Van Impe Presentsââ from the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) after a recent episode was replaced with a program promoting unity between Christianity and Islam.
According to a news release on Van Impeâs web site, âOn Wednesday afternoon we received a call from Matt Crouch of TBN informing us that they would not run that program, despite having aired it Monday evening. The reason he gave was that we specifically mentioned Rick Warren and Robert Schuller and that it is TBNâs policy that broadcasters are not allowed to rebuke other ministries. This is a rather hypocritical statement in light of the fact that they have never said anything in the past when we have rebuked others such as Bishop Spong, Bishop Pike, and in the past few months Harold Camping and Rob Bell.â
Van Impe has recently veered from his own policy of not criticizing other ministries. He is infamous for ragging on anyone who dares to refute the false teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. He is receiving a taste of his own medicine.
It comes at no surprise that it was Matt Crouch, the younger son of TBN founders Paul and Jan Crouch, that flexed his muscles in Van Impeâs direction. Several years ago while was hosting the Praise the Lord program, Matt expressed his fury at Van Impe by name in response to Van Impeâs promotional tape on Y2K. Matt accused Van Impe of trying to raise money by planting fear in peopleâs minds, something TBN does on a regular basis during every Praise-a-Thon fund raiser.
When Jerusalem fell to the Greco-Syrian tyrant Antiochus Epiphanes it fell twice. The first time was a gradual assimilation into the Greek culture that was first introduced by Alexander the Great and whose precepts were inherited by his military successors throughout the remnant of that once great yet brief empire. The vision that Alexander had was to see the whole world transformed by a single language and culture; this in turn was the thrust of this madman cum megalomaniac whose political and military pressure turned the rulers of Jerusalemâs religious class upon themselves. The new Greek thought in the form of Hellenism was pitted against the traditions of Rabbinic Judaism and the new usurped the old with the result being the political and cultural domination of Greco-Syria. Is it a saga of shame, betrayal, and foolishness by those who should (and actually do) know better, or is it more a matter of biblical ignorance, a misplaced zeal, pandering to the pressures of theocratic politics, or convoluted loyalties, or a lack of wisdom from above?
There is no doubt that God’s PEACE plan is the redemptive and regenerative Gospel of Jesus alone; there is no true salvation in any other Name (Acts 4:12), nor any other true God but the God of Israel (Exodus 20:3, Jeremiah 10:10) and other gods are demons (1 Corinthians 10:20, Deuteronomy 32:17, Psalm 106:37). Nor is there any other true “PEACE” except through God’s peace plan based on the New Testament Gospel of salvation by grace and justification through faith (Luke 2:14, Romans 3:17, Romans 5:1, Ephesians 2:14, 2 Thessalonians 3:16, 1 Peter 5:14, 2 Peter 3:14).
Rick Warren however, has teamed up with Tony Blair to push Rick Warren’s own “Global ‘PEACE’ Plan” aligning governments, industries, and religions â all religions (including Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist and worshipers of other “gods” which Scripture identifies as demons) to inaugurate Warren’s peace plan contrary to God’s and omits the Gospel of Jesus as the only true “PEACE”. Warren wants $900,000 by Jan. 1, says church facing budget crisis

Let us pray that this is the commencement of God’s judgment on the “Purpose Driven Lie” that has been used so mightily of Satan to mislead and deceive so many naive, biblically ignorant, and undiscerning Christians. James Jacob Prasch Continue reading →
Rick Warren was a regular listener to my nationally syndicated radio show which broadcaste d from Southern California for over 10 years. The words I write are my own and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of the company which syndicated the show I hosted. As a listener, Rick Warren called in to the show live and we have talked on the air. In addition, I had his wife on the program and some of Saddleback Churchâs pastors. However, in the spirit of Christian love, I would like to challenge some of the things Rick has said at the Islamic Society of North America. Continue reading →
Rick Warren, whose efforts to turn Evangelical Christianity into a psychologized religion based on marketing with his Purpose Driven agenda stunned many who claim to be regenerated, Bible-believing Christians when he appeared on Larry King Live globally, offering an apology to the homosexual and lesbian community for his “apparent” opposition to California’s Proposition 8. (This propostion outlawed legal recognition of same -sex marriage.) He offered this apology in spite of the fact he first created the unambiguous impression he opposed it. Warren’s hypocrisy or Christ-less treachery appear to know no limits. Yesterday’s theological liberal is today’s alledged “Evangelical”.
It shouldn’t shock us but this Sunday (June 21) the Indianapolis Star will run a feature story reporting that Rick Warren (author of The Purpose Driven Life and Pastor of Saddleback Church in southern. California) is going to be a featured speaker at the annual convention of The Islamic Society of North America, July 3-6 in Washington, DC. Warren’s picture currently appears on the groups website. (Click here for story.) I do wonder what sort of Purpose Driven church, er, ah, make that “mosque growth” tips Warren will share with the conference participants? Is peace at any cost worth it Rick? This week the Jerusalem Post identifies three of the most prominent evangelical critics of Israel as Jimmy Carter, Stephen Sizer and Brian McLaren. Whilst Carter is world famous, and I have discussed Sizer at length on this blog, Brian McLaren is less well-known. Continue reading →
“‘Hear this now, O foolish people, without understanding,
who have eyes and see not, and who have ears and hear not:
Do you not fear Me?â says the Lord. âWill you not tremble at My presence…?’
But this people has a defiant and rebellious heart;
They have revolted and departed.
They do not say in their heart, ‘let us now fear the Lord our God,
Who gives rain… in its season…’” Jeremiah 5:21-24 Continue reading →
