Rick Warren was a regular listener to my nationally syndicated radio show which broadcaste d from Southern California for over 10 years. The words I write are my own and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of the company which syndicated the show I hosted. As a listener, Rick Warren called in to the show live and we have talked on the air. In addition, I had his wife on the program and some of Saddleback Church’s pastors. However, in the spirit of Christian love, I would like to challenge some of the things Rick has said at the Islamic Society of North America. Continue reading »

Rick Warren, whose efforts to turn Evangelical Christianity into a psychologized religion based on marketing with his Purpose Driven agenda stunned many who claim to be regenerated, Bible-believing Christians when he appeared on Larry King Live globally, offering an apology to the homosexual and lesbian community for his “apparent” opposition to California’s Proposition 8. (This propostion outlawed legal recognition of same -sex marriage.) He offered this apology in spite of the fact he first created the unambiguous impression he opposed it. Warren’s hypocrisy or Christ-less treachery appear to know no limits. Yesterday’s theological liberal is today’s alledged “Evangelical”.

It shouldn’t shock us but this Sunday (June 21) the Indianapolis Star will run a feature story reporting that Rick Warren (author of The Purpose Driven Life and Pastor of Saddleback Church in southern. California) is going to be a featured speaker at the annual convention of The Islamic Society of North America, July 3-6 in Washington, DC. Warren’s picture currently appears on the groups website. (Click here for story.) I do wonder what sort of Purpose Driven church, er, ah, make that “mosque growth” tips Warren will share with the conference participants? Is peace at any cost worth it Rick? Seismic Shock
This week the Jerusalem Post identifies three of the most prominent evangelical critics of Israel as Jimmy Carter, Stephen Sizer and Brian McLaren. Whilst Carter is world famous, and I have discussed Sizer at length on this blog, Brian McLaren is less well-known. Continue reading »

“‘Hear this now, O foolish people, without understanding,
who have eyes and see not, and who have ears and hear not:
Do you not fear Me?’ says the Lord. ‘Will you not tremble at My presence…?’
But this people has a defiant and rebellious heart;
They have revolted and departed.
They do not say in their heart, ‘let us now fear the Lord our God,
Who gives rain… in its season…’” Jeremiah 5:21-24 Continue reading »

Moriel and Jacob Prasch indeed urge serious prayer, fasting, and intercession for Israel & The Jews at this perilous time as the return of Christ draws closer and the advent of the Antichrist draws closer still. What we oppose, however, are immorality, heresy, and lunacy and the Last Days deception these things too often engender. Such madness serves the interest of neither Israel or the church.

Let Us Reason
At Christmas time, Lauren Green on Fox News hosted Rick Warrens Christmas service called “Christmas with Rick Warren.” This is an opportunity most pastors would love to have- a large captive audience at Christmas time to give the saving message of the gospel to millions of people. But was the gospel presented?
The following are highlights of his sermon with an observation, analysis and biblical assessment. Continue reading »

After behaving like an apologist for Rick Warren & Purpose Driven, defending and explaining even Rick Warren’s invitation to partial birth abortion arch advocate Barak Obama to his pulpit in Mr. Warren’s Saddleback church, Richard Abanes seems caught in a quagmire of his own design. In a series of circulated emails, Richard Abanes (of that church) has selectively posted half the emails exchanged in this regard on his web site (with-holding the other half), apparently in an effort to distance himself from Warren and his own comments in support of Warren.
Such conduct does not appear only hypocritical, but irrational.
Anyone of serious merit and intent wishing to see proof of this should ask Mr Abanes for a copy of his apologetic statement on behalf of Rick Warren and all of the e mails (which we have copies of). If he refuses, the reason why should be obvious.
Posting a defense of Warren ’s actions on his website and then trying to remove himself from what he himself wrote and web posted on the same web site is absolutely hideous.
Is this man for real?
Our decision is to ignore him as a lost cause as we can only engage with people who behave in a rational manner.

Moriel and Jacob Prasch solidly support the position recently published by Chuck Smith, Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa, (Santa Anna) California distancing Calvary Chapel from the Emergent Church Movement which is in essence a hyper-ecumenical combination of Post Modernism and religious mysticism that rejects the propositional truth upon which the biblical Gospel is predicated. In what appears to be a sweeping phenomenon, Christian leaders are embracing practices and a new spirituality that borrows from Eastern mysticism and New Age philosophy. The changes are taking place worldwide and involve many of the most popular evangelical leaders including Rick Warren, Brian McLaren, Richard Foster, Tony Campolo, and Eugene Peterson. Slice of Laodicea
Following Bill Hybel’s example, Rick Warren will be dining with Christians who say they are gay and proud of it. They are bringing their families with them to Saddleback for a Father’s Day celebration. This is the same gay road trip that has traveled the country to various megachurches to win converts to their views on sexuality. Even Joel Osteen said no to such a gathering. Repeat: these are professing “Christians” who are in moral revolt against the Word of God, not atheists at a gay pride parade who need someone to bear witness to the truth. These people know the truth and have rejected it. Not only that, they want everyone else in the church to reject it, too. Christian Research Net reports.
