Headlines in the news this past week were an ugly reminder that violence is on the increase all over America. TV viewers cringed as images of the dead and wounded being rushed into ambulances in Fort Hood, Texas and Orlando, Florida interrupted regular programming. Collective tears were shed for the hysterical parents desperately trying to find out if their young people were among the victims.
The week before, the Bay Area reeled over the news of a 15-year-old girl who had been gang-raped, robbed, beaten and left for dead outside the Richmond High School dance she attended with her friends. Reportedly ten young men, some of them minors, took part in the brutal assault, taking turns at her. Many dance-goers stood around and watched, laughed, took pictures and egged the deviates on. None of the onlookers came to her assistance or even bothered to call the police. Finally, a student heard second hand that a naked girl was laying unconscious in the dark by the dumpster and called 911. Those who told her about it said they didn’t want to be snitches and so wouldn’t call for help for fear of retaliation. The victim survived but no doubt is scarred for life.
With all the talk in the liberal press about hate crimes, the local news was totally silent over the fact that the victim was a white “church-goer” and all the attackers were Latino in a region where illegal immigration is protected under the “safe haven, sanctuary” laws. If it were the other way around or if the victim were gay, they would have been all over it.

This video shows US televangelist Benny Hinn doing his ‘let the bodies hit the floor’ routine. There are regular reports of miraculous healings from his missions around the world, including Britain. Benny Hinn was meant to be evangelising the UK as I write, with three days booked from last night until 3 October at Excel in London’s Docklands. But his attempt to enter the country at Stansted Airport was unsuccessful. According to sources he took his private jet to Paris and then tried a second time, at Luton Airport. That attempt failed too, and tonight, Friday, he is on his way back to France. Continue reading »

I observed a very sad scene on TBN last week, August 20, 2009, on the Praise the Lord program originating from TBN’s new studio in New York City. The night’s hosts were Matthew and Laurie Crouch and their first guests were TBN’s founder Paul Crouch Sr. and his best friend Benny Hinn. Hinn was there to promote his new book, Blood in the Sand, a book on the subject of the Middle East in Bible prophecy. Very little time was spent on the book. Host Matt Crouch took this segment as an opportunity to confront his elderly father about his belief in the soon return of the Lord, a hope that the younger Crouch obviously does not share with his dad.
The disrespect Matt showed in confronting his dad on world-wide television — on the network his dad built — was astonishing. Paul Sr. has had a divided family on this issue of Dispensationalism as his wife Jan bought into the Kingdom-Now heresy of the late Earl Paulk decades ago and even won her husband over to it, at least for a short time. But now as he is facing the declining years of his life, he is taking a strong stand on his pre-mil/pre-trib heritage resulting in the scorn of his son who seems to despise his eschatology. The Extreme Axis of the Messianic and Hebrew Roots Movements

First of all, I and Moriel and others such as Dr. Arnold Fruchtenbaum have warned multiple times about the extreme axis of the Messianic and Hebrew Roots Movements, which in fact is not a movement but a series of strains — some biblical, some unbiblical. For instance, I and Moriel were among the very first to warn against Peter Michas as being utterly heretical. But not all are, by any measure, alike. Anyone like Scott Johnson stereotyping them all into the same category tells me automatically that he himself does not understand what he is criticizing. Rick Warren, whose efforts to turn Evangelical Christianity into a psychologized religion based on marketing with his Purpose Driven agenda stunned many who claim to be regenerated, Bible-believing Christians when he appeared on Larry King Live globally, offering an apology to the homosexual and lesbian community for his “apparent” opposition to California’s Proposition 8. (This propostion outlawed legal recognition of same -sex marriage.) He offered this apology in spite of the fact he first created the unambiguous impression he opposed it. Warren’s hypocrisy or Christ-less treachery appear to know no limits. Yesterday’s theological liberal is today’s alledged “Evangelical”.

I have recently had a very rude and unexpected introduction to Vicky Dillen’s blog. In my 38 years of being in the Lord, I have rarely encountered such a blatant “root of bitterness” in my spiritual life, and that’s saying something considering my life experiences. After a series of unintended unpleasant exchanges, I managed to earn a sort of “red badge of courage” and was banned from further participation for a season. Somehow, I think I’ll get over the disappointment. An unteachable teacher is quite unseemly, and before I look at anyone else in this regard, I must first look at myself, endeavoring to take Paul’s admonition to Timothy to heart, “Pay close attention to yourself and to your teaching.” Their website states, “People are free to believe what they want.” What they fail to state [is] that it only applies as long as you are in agreement with them. Roberts Liardon, the publicly exposed homosexual preacher and the defender of heretic William Branham and of Oral Roberts’ 900 foot tall Jesus threatening to kill Roberets if he did not come up with millions of dollars by the end of the month to save Robert’s now defunct medical institution, is now appointed to run Elim’s Kensington Temple Bible institute.
I once walked out in front of 3.000 people when Liardon was ranting his nonsense in Bournemouth and I once watched him on TV in Califiornia defend the maniacal antics of Oral Roberts and his 900 foot tall Jesus Christ threatening to kill him if he didn’t cough up the cash by the end of the month.
For years I warned about former ballet dancer Colin Dye’s association with this proven homosexual preacher. Not that it made a bit of difference to Wynn Lewis (now standing before the judgment seat of Christ to give account for his relentless promotion of the Toronto Deception and feeding the Lord’s sheep to wolves like Morris Cerullo). Neither did it make a difference to the Elim establishment such as John Smith, Gordon Hills, and Elim’s elder statesman John Lancashire. Continue reading »

Last year as a ministry we spent much time and energy reporting on and exposing the fraudulent so called ‘Miracle Healing Crusades’ conducted by Todd Bentley in Lakeland in Florida and I don’t plan to revisit those God-dishonouring events in this article – a search of our website and those of other faithful watchmen ministries will yield all the information necessary to discover the devilish nature of events in Lakeland. The ‘Miracle Healing Crusade’ came to a shuddering halt when it was discovered that Todd Bentley had ‘entered into an unhealthy relationship on an emotional level with a female member of his staff – at least that’s how the board of Mr Bentley’s then ‘Fresh Fire Ministries’ initially put out the story – subsequent revelations showed how very wide of the mark this first statement was.
