I had always promised before the Lord Jesus two things concerning Christian TV. The first is that I would never “Ride in Ahab’s Chariot”; that is I would not appear on the same channel, network, or station that broadcast heretical money preachers. I would not want Moriel to be misunderstood as endorsing such deceivers who have prostituted God’s Word or allow us to be identified with them in the eyes of the secular public. They discredit the Gospel of Salvation to the world, twisting the truth into a financial con game. Continue reading

Moriel and Jacob Prasch fully endorse the recent conference remarks by Paul Smith warning about the seriously dangerous nature of the actions and false doctrines of Rick Warren.
Any honest review of the irrefutable facts supports Paul Smith’s caveats. Continue reading

Since processing this article I have discovered that here in Brisbane, Nexus Church (alias Northside Christian Church (AoG), former senior pastor John Lewis, currently pastored by Murray and Jane Averill – http://nexuschurch.com.au/about-us/senior-pastors ) is an associate Church using Johnsonâs ‘bible college’ modules â (http://nexuschurch.com.au/encounter-ministry-training/1st-year-modules ), which only goes to show how rapidly and far error spreads. I find this particularly disappointing as the father of Murray, the late Lloyd Averill (1913-2010) lectured me in Bible College (1957-1959) and John Lewis was a good friend. How alert we must be in these days of deception and departure: Continue reading

I am really hoping to make this the last of this type of article for awhile. Some people think I “love” putting out this stuff. But I honestly wish it would all go away, so we could get on with the ‘real’ work of building the kingdom. Continue reading
Reformed theology is associated with the Institutes of John Calvin and the definition and even redefinition of Calvin’s ideas by his later followers led by Theodore Beza at The Remonstrance of Dort in Holland. It is a theology of the 16th century reformers who recognized the evils of Rome and attempted to remove the unbiblical rituals and traditions from Christianity. They adopted the state church system, including infant baptism, thus replacing a Roman Catholic state church with a Protestant one. As with Roman Catholicism, Calvin followed the Latin Vulgate more than the original Greek and Hebrew and like the papacy he subscribed to patristic as well as apostolic authority. He saw the church fathers, especially Augustine, as a source of doctrinal authority in addition to the New Testament. Philosophically, Reformed theology has more in common with Islam than with Judeo-Christian thought because of its European version of the Muslim belief “Inja allah” – everything that happens is the perfect will of the creator. Thus in Calvinism, as opposed to scriptural Christianity, God creates certain people to go to hell to be eternally tortured and thus God, not Satan, becomes the author of death and evil. We are adding this to our Links page but thought to post it here as well. They have a web page called “Ministry Watch” which is an excellent resource for finding out the financial condition of many ministries. On the front page is a list of “30 Shining Light Ministries” who do the best job of getting as close to 100% of donations out to the field, and “30 Donor Alert Ministries” which is a kind of financial hall of shame. They provide this report which briefly states the problem with each “winner”.
I heard Jacob speak as a guest on TruNews radio program and was quite impressed with his viewpoints. Would Jacob please answer 2 questions I have for him:
When does he believe the rapture of the Church will take place in relation to the 7 year Tribulation?
What does he think about the modern day Apostolic Movement. Does he believe the office of Apostle is relevant for today? Continue reading

Joseph Prince claims in this book to have a radical new understanding of grace.
Throughout the book he puts forth the tired old lies of the word faith movement. âYou can live without suffering and sickness, everything you do will be successfulâ etc.
The only real difference being, while the Word Faith crowd claim it all by a redefined and unbiblical âfaithâ, Prince teaches that all these things are assured under his version of âgraceâ. The new âgraceâ of Joseph Prince removes the need of repentance, and confession of sins from the Christian life. He also denies that God will ever bring conviction to a believer about their sin. To live under Princeâs grace, we simply need to confess that we are righteous. That is the secret to the Christian life. Continue reading

A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh. â Luke 6:45
There seems to be a growing trend in the Church for the clergy to feed the sensual appetite through their sermons. What we are dealing with are pastors who have dirty minds and potty mouths. The word that best describes them is profane.
The following definition of profane is from the Merriam Webster dictionary:
1: to treat (something sacred) with abuse, irreverence, or contempt: desecrate
2: to debase by a wrong, unworthy, or vulgar use
So profanity is language that shows disrespect for something sacred, such as the name of God. Not taking the Lord’s Name in vain is one of the Ten Commandments:
Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain (Exodus 20:7). Continue reading

Mark Stibbe, the UK proponent of Todd Bentley and every other deception based on neo-Gnostic mysticism and heresy, has been publicly reported to have abandoned his wife and children after promoting Todd Bentley who did the same. Stibbe had been leader of St. Andrews Chorleywood in the UK from where he and David Pytches promoted the Toronto counterfeit and the Kansas City false prophets including the homosexual alcoholic Paul Cain and sexual predator Bob Jones. After promoting Todd Bentley, Stibbe left St. Andrews to head a trust that supposedly is established to combat the problem of fatherless children. Ironically, but not surprisingly, in imitation of his hero Todd Bentley – Mr. Stibbe has gone into the enterprise of promulgating the problem. We should not be surprised. Continue reading

“Minutes Of Several Conversations”
Q. 74. What is the direct antidote to Methodism, the doctrine of heart holiness?
A. Calvinism: all the devices of Satan, for these fifty years have done far less toward stopping the work of God, that that single doctrine. It strikes at the heart of salvation from sin, previous to glory, putting the matter on quite another issue.
Q.75. But wherein lies the charm of this doctrine: What makes men swallow it so greedily?
A. (1.) It seems to magnify Christ: although in reality it supposes him to have died in vain. For the absolutely elect must have been saved without him; and the none-elect cannot be saved by him.
(2.) It is highly pleasing to flesh and blood, final perserverance in particular.
Q. 76. What can be done to guard against it?
A. (1.) Let all our preachers carefully read over ours and Mr. Fletcher’s tracts.
(2.) Let them frequently and explicitly preach the truth, though not in a controversial way. But let them take care to do it in love and gentleness; not in bitterness, not returning railing for railing: let whose who preach it have all this to themselves.
(3.) Do not imitate them in screaming, allegorising, boasting: rather mildly expose these things when time serves.
(4.) Imitate them in this: they readily seize upon any one that is newly convinced or converted. Be diligent to prevent them, and to guard those tender minds against the predestinarian poison.
(5.) Answer their objections, as occasion offers, both in public and private. But take care to do this with all possible sweetness both of look and of accent.
(6.) Very frequently, both in public and private, advise our people not to hear therein.
(7.) Make it a matter of constant and earnest prayer, that God would stop the plague.
âThe secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our sons forever, that we may observe all the words of this law. (Dt. 29:29)
As the Preacher has already told us, âThere is nothing new under the sunâ. (Ecc. 1:9) So why should we be surprised that yet another person has been the exclusive recipient of yet another âsecretâ from God and, for the first time in the history of the world, is making it known to us? For some reason, instead of writing it down in one of the original languages of the Bible and making it freely available to all like the original Prophets of old, this time around God chose to have it printed in English and sold for $16.99 ($9.00 on the Kindle). For a fee, the âprophetâ will come and speak about it. False teaching disguised as ârevelationâ like Jonathan Cahnâs The Harbinger have been around since handwriting was invented and such will, no doubt, persist until the Lord returns. Please do not buy it or even bother reading a friendâs copy; why should you take away time from your personal meditation in Scripture, the only true source of revelation? But such things keep coming up, so I keep going back to the above verse.
- Fact 1: God has not revealed everything to us, nor will He.
- Fact 2: He has already revealed everything we need to know in His Word. There is no room for new books in The Book.
- Fact 3: If we cannot be obedient to what has already been revealed, there is no ânewâ or further revelation coming.
In addition to outright false teachers and false prophets who teach error, there are also those who, ââ¦speak a vision of their own imagination, not from the mouth of the Lordâ. (Jer. 23:16b) In either case, it is to be rejected just the same. Continue reading
