We are adding this to our Links  page but thought to post it here as well. They have a web page called “Ministry Watch” which is an excellent resource for finding out the financial condition of many ministries. On the front page is a list of “30 Shining Light Ministries” who do the best job of getting as close to 100% of donations out to the field, and “30 Donor Alert Ministries” which is a kind of financial hall of shame. They provide this report which briefly states the problem with each “winner”.

There seems to be a growing trend in the Church for the clergy to feed the sensual appetite through their sermons. What we are dealing with are pastors who have dirty minds and potty mouths. The word that best describes them is profane.

The following definition of profane is from the Merriam Webster dictionary:

1: to treat (something sacred) with abuse, irreverence, or contempt: desecrate

2: to debase by a wrong, unworthy, or vulgar use

So profanity is language that shows disrespect for something sacred, such as the name of God. Not taking the Lord’s Name in vain is one of the Ten Commandments:

Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain (Exodus 20:7). Continue reading →

In the past Moriel has reckoned Rob Bell to be just another of the false teachers deceiving the church that the Lord warned would arise in The Last Days. He has unfortunately since become what Steve Chalk is in the UK, an arch instrument of Satan in spiritually seducing Christian youth with his “pseudo hip pseudo theology”.  This doctrinally ignorant figure is as dangerous as he is deluded.

When Whole Cities Fall

When Jerusalem fell to the Greco-Syrian tyrant Antiochus Epiphanes it fell twice. The first time was a gradual assimilation into the Greek culture that was first introduced by Alexander the Great and whose precepts were inherited by his military successors throughout the remnant of that once great yet brief empire. The vision that Alexander had was to see the whole world transformed by a single language and culture; this in turn was the thrust of this madman cum megalomaniac whose political and military pressure turned the rulers of Jerusalem’s religious class upon themselves. The new Greek thought in the form of Hellenism was pitted against the traditions of Rabbinic Judaism and the new usurped the old with the result being the political and cultural domination of Greco-Syria. Who Wants to Be Next?

Is it a saga of shame, betrayal, and foolishness by those who should (and actually do) know better, or is it more a matter of biblical ignorance, a misplaced zeal, pandering to the pressures of theocratic politics, or convoluted loyalties, or a lack of wisdom from above?

There is no doubt that God’s PEACE plan is the redemptive and regenerative Gospel of Jesus alone; there is no true salvation in any other Name (Acts 4:12), nor any other true God but the God of Israel (Exodus 20:3, Jeremiah 10:10) and other gods are demons (1 Corinthians 10:20, Deuteronomy 32:17, Psalm 106:37). Nor is there any other true “PEACE” except through God’s peace plan based on the New Testament Gospel of salvation by grace and justification through faith (Luke 2:14, Romans 3:17, Romans 5:1, Ephesians 2:14, 2 Thessalonians 3:16, 1 Peter 5:14, 2 Peter 3:14).

Rick Warren however, has teamed up with Tony Blair to push Rick Warren’s own “Global ‘PEACE’ Plan” aligning governments, industries, and religions – all religions (including Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist and worshipers of other “gods” which Scripture identifies as demons) to inaugurate Warren’s peace plan contrary to God’s and omits the Gospel of Jesus as the only true “PEACE”. Those that deny ‘penal substitution’ are “the enemies of the cross of Christ” [Philippians 3:18]

Over recent years there has been a steady build up of opposition to and outright rejection of what some term as ‘the theory’ of ‘penal substitution’. Amongst the definitions for  ‘theory’ is one that reads – ‘a conjectural view or idea’. When it comes then to understanding what was happening on “the cross of Christ” for the faithful Christian the doctrine of ‘penal substitution’ is not a matter of ‘conjecture’ but it is the factual and glorious heartbeat that sustains God’s gift of “eternal life” [Romans 6:23]. ‘Penal substitution’ is a factual divine truth that leaps from the pages of the Bible and to deny otherwise is quite simply to set oneself up as an ‘enemy of the cross of Christ’. Recently, the President of the United States, George W. Bush, admitted that he did not take many parts of the Bible literally. For example, Bush doubted the Genesis account of Creation in favor of the disproven Theory of Evolution. President Bush reiterated his belief that all of the world’s religions pray to the same God. This is all from a President who won the hearts of American evangelicals because he prayed a prayer to be “born again” with Billy Graham. I was driving on the freeway of Los Angeles when I saw a car in front of me that said “Unity and Oneness” and there were symbols from many of the world’s religions, such as the star of David, the cross, the star and crescent moon and numerous other symbols. Obviously the owner of the car held to the hope that all of the world’s religions will one day unite. This was the dream of the late Beatle John Lennon when he wrote his famous song “Imagine” and it is the dream of United Nations.  This is the false hope of all those who do not know the true God of the Bible and His only begotten Son Jesus Christ.  It reflects the “spirit of this age” and the great apostasy that the Apostle Paul=2 0talked about when he said, “Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away ( apostasy ) come first, and the man of sin is revealed the son of perdition.” Continue reading →
