Can you explain God’s reasoning behind Leviticus 19:19?
Blessings in The One who saved us. Your question was forwarded to me from The USA.
We have explained this multiple times already - for instance on our recorded teachings of ‘parasoxousin’ (Greek text) in 2 Peter chapt. 2 and elsewhere. The Torah/ Law of Moses is the Old Testament shadow of the substance found in Christ revealed in The New Testament. Parasoxousin mean to put truth next to error to camouflage the error; all cults, false teachers, false prophets, and false religions have elements of truth they sow next to error. God hates mixture. We are adding this to our Links page but thought to post it here as well. They have a web page called “Ministry Watch” which is an excellent resource for finding out the financial condition of many ministries. On the front page is a list of “30 Shining Light Ministries” who do the best job of getting as close to 100% of donations out to the field, and “30 Donor Alert Ministries” which is a kind of financial hall of shame. They provide this report which briefly states the problem with each “winner”.

In March 1994 leading evangelicals and Roman Catholics signed a declaration called: âEvangelicals and Catholics together for the third millennium.â This document says that Catholics and Protestants who have worked together in opposing abortion and pornography should âfinally accept each other as Christians⦠and stop proselytizing each otherâs flocks.â Many people in the Church of England, Lutherans, Baptists and other major denominations are now convinced that Catholics are their fellow believers in the one true God. When Jerusalem fell to the Greco-Syrian tyrant Antiochus Epiphanes it fell twice. The first time was a gradual assimilation into the Greek culture that was first introduced by Alexander the Great and whose precepts were inherited by his military successors throughout the remnant of that once great yet brief empire. The vision that Alexander had was to see the whole world transformed by a single language and culture; this in turn was the thrust of this madman cum megalomaniac whose political and military pressure turned the rulers of Jerusalemâs religious class upon themselves. The new Greek thought in the form of Hellenism was pitted against the traditions of Rabbinic Judaism and the new usurped the old with the result being the political and cultural domination of Greco-Syria. A group of “traditional Anglicans” in Australia has voted to accept the recent invitation of Pope Benedict XVI to convert to full communion with the Roman Catholic Church, whilst retaining their membership of the Anglican Church.
Meeting in Melbourne on Feb. 13, the Australian branch of Forward in Faith, which comprises many members of the international anglo-catholic grouping called the Traditional Anglican Communion, “received with gratitude” the Pope’s invitation to join Rome. They decided unanimously to establish a working group to enable the process to move forward. Continue reading →
In an era of the diminishing Judeo-Christian religious and moral liberty upon which the founding of both American and British democracy were historically predicated there is indeed a vital urgency to actively confront the assault on those rights by the agenda set by what in effect amounts to a tyranny of a highly vocal and disproportionately over-represented minority in everything. This has manifested itself in a virtual suppression of solid scientific fact in everything from the implausibility of Darwinist presupposition to the clinically documented reduced longevity of homosexuals to the embryonic and obstetric realities of elective non- clinical abortion as a de facto means of birth control. The forced imputation of these and other social insanities to the violation of the moral convictions of a statistical majority constitutes an abrogation of both constitutional principle and the very national heritage that bequeathed us constitutional government and liberty to begin with. No one in his right mind could read the preamble of the U. S. constitution, the Declaration of Independence or the highly theistic writings of the British parliamentarians and logically arrive at the absurd non-theistic misinterpretation of separation of church and state currently demanded by such organizations as the ACLU.
