Myth or Lie?

The Fallacy of a Peaceful Islam in the West

Disclaimer: Moriel is not a political organization and our purposes in addressing politically related issues is only where such issues concern and affect Judeo-Christian theology in areas of doctrine and prophecy, Christian and Jewish religious freedom and human rights, and in areas of social morality. While we spiritually and theologically oppose Islam, we do not oppose peaceable moderate Muslims personally and we denounce racism as contrary to the faith to which we ascribe. We electorally sanction NO political party and endorse no political candidates under the auspices of our ministry or organization.

Lie upon lie, politicians in most Western countries from Gordon Brown and Tony Blair to Bill Clinton, George Bush and Barack Obama continue to lie each time another act of Islamic terror is perpetrated against the West with the prostest that Islam is a tolerant religion. The biased media machine is always prepared to propagate this myth as is the left wing academic establishment. In a recorded video Barak Obama even once referred to his “Muslim faith”, irrespective of whether that was an error or not, and it thus remains unclear if he indeed is a Muslim or not. Kingdom Violence

Headlines in the news this past week were an ugly reminder that violence is on the increase all over America. TV viewers cringed as images of the dead and wounded being rushed into ambulances in Fort Hood, Texas and Orlando, Florida interrupted regular programming. Collective tears were shed for the hysterical parents desperately trying to find out if their young people were among the victims.

The week before, the Bay Area reeled over the news of a 15-year-old girl who had been gang-raped, robbed, beaten and left for dead outside the Richmond High School dance she attended with her friends. Reportedly ten young men, some of them minors, took part in the brutal assault, taking turns at her. Many dance-goers stood around and watched, laughed, took pictures and egged the deviates on. None of the onlookers came to her assistance or even bothered to call the police. Finally, a student heard second hand that a naked girl was laying unconscious in the dark by the dumpster and called 911. Those who told her about it said they didn’t want to be snitches and so wouldn’t call for help for fear of retaliation. The victim survived but no doubt is scarred for life.

With all the talk in the liberal press about hate crimes, the local news was totally silent over the fact that the victim was a white “church-goer” and all the attackers were Latino in a region where illegal immigration is protected under the “safe haven, sanctuary” laws. If it were the other way around or if the victim were gay, they would have been all over it.

Those that deny ‘penal substitution’ are “the enemies of the cross of Christ” [Philippians 3:18]

Over recent years there has been a steady build up of opposition to and outright rejection of what some term as ‘the theory’ of ‘penal substitution’. Amongst the definitions for  ‘theory’ is one that reads – ‘a conjectural view or idea’. When it comes then to understanding what was happening on “the cross of Christ” for the faithful Christian the doctrine of ‘penal substitution’ is not a matter of ‘conjecture’ but it is the factual and glorious heartbeat that sustains God’s gift of “eternal life” [Romans 6:23]. ‘Penal substitution’ is a factual divine truth that leaps from the pages of the Bible and to deny otherwise is quite simply to set oneself up as an ‘enemy of the cross of Christ’. No Sweat

(Original article posted here.)

Do the recent deaths at a Sedona, Arizona New Age spiritual retreat have a lesson for anyone on a Christian journey today? It may seem far-fetched to think that anyone calling themselves “Christian” could learn anything from a group of ‘stupid people’ following a charismatic cult leader into an unventilated sweat lodge with 65 other ‘stupid people,’ yet this could be a wake-up call for some emergents, ecumenists and “prophetic” charismaniac ‘stupid people.’ (tongue-in-cheek, of course) Continue reading »

The Modern Gateway for Deception’s Foothold

So the king consulted, and made two golden calves, and he said to them, “It is too much for you to go up to Jerusalem; behold your gods, O Israel, that brought you up from the land of Egypt.” He set one in Bethel, and the other he put in Dan. Now this thing became a sin, for the people went to worship before the one as far as Dan.

– 1 Kings 12:28-30

Throughout all of Scripture which documents that period of Israel’s history from the time the original Temple was built until it was destroyed centuries later, there is a unit of measure by which God holds all leaders accountable. Their righteousness is contrasted to the faithfulness of King David and their wickedness is compared to King Jeroboam, seen in these verses initiating what will later be repeatedly referred to as “the sins of Jeroboam”. Jeroboam does not create something completely new from day one. Instead, he ultimately takes everything connected with the One True God and systematically twists each and every item into a shadow of its former self. This activity is particularly evil in that it is not directed at everybody in the whole world but exclusively toward God’s people alone. Jeroboam twists every single direction God gave for how His people should serve and worship and replaces them with a duplicate which looks very similar on the outside, but is a complete apostasy on the inside. And where does this apostasy start? What was the first step taken to achieve total corruption of God’s people? Worship. And I believe it is most often the way that deception and apostasy enter into Western churches today. There may be cases where it makes its first appearance through the pulpit or an ancillary ministry activity, but it most often first enters through the worship team. Continue reading »

State-Backed Persecution

Ha’aretz Newspaper Editorial
October 11, 2009

The methods of harassment and persecution used by the ultra-Orthodox organization Yad L’Achim against innocent, law-abiding Israeli citizens goes beyond the limits of legitimate activity by a civilian body and borders on unlawful. The organization, which has deployed a dense net of activists across the country and the world, is proud of “rescuing” Jewish men, women and children from the “claws” of other faiths and belief systems using coercive and dubious tactics. Congress seizes on explosive new book based on daring undercover CAIR probe

In the wake of the sensational ACORN video sting operation by two young investigators, an even more daring and devastating undercover investigation – this one infiltrating the nation’s most aggressive Muslim “civil rights” organization for six months – has produced stunning revelations about the supposedly “moderate” group, backed up by 12,000 pages of documents obtained during the secret op. Dealing with Spiritual Deceivers

Preface: There are many books, websites, and other resources documenting those persons and organizations who, by biblical standards, are undoubtedly spiritual deceivers. But as the old saying goes, “Give someone a fish and feed them for a day, teach someone to fish and feed them for life.” Hopefully this provides a starting point for developing the biblical tools by which the faithful can discern the methods and activities of the faithless.

Granted we need to heed ALL of God’s Word, but we especially need to take heed of things which are repeated in Scripture. The Holy Spirit is trying to impress upon us something of particular importance whenever something is referred to in God’s Word more than once as evidenced in the Old Testament by the books of Kings and Chronicles, and in the New Testament by the Gospels. But there is a particular Old Testament event which is recorded three times in order to emphasize it’s particular importance: the king of Assyria’s invasion of Judah. (2 Kings 18-19, 2 Chronicles 32, and Isaiah 36-37) We will examine the account in Isaiah in order to better understand the greater lessons provided for engaging spiritual deceivers in the arena of spiritual warfare. The Ominous “Success”of Re-Education

by Berit Kjos
October 5, 2009

“The purpose of education and the schools is to change the thoughts, feelings and actions of students.” [1]

“As the home and church decline in influence… schools must begin to provide adequately for the emotional and moral development of children. …The school… must assume a direct responsibility for the attitudes and values of child development. The child advocate, psychologist, social technician, and medical technician should all reach aggressively into the community, send workers out to children’s homes….” ” Continue reading »

This video shows US televangelist Benny Hinn doing his ‘let the bodies hit the floor’ routine. There are regular reports of miraculous healings from his missions around the world, including Britain. Benny Hinn was meant to be evangelising the UK as I write, with three days booked from last night until 3 October at Excel in London’s Docklands. But his attempt to enter the country at Stansted Airport was unsuccessful. According to sources he took his private jet to Paris and then tried a second time, at Luton Airport. That attempt failed too, and tonight, Friday, he is on his way back to France. Continue reading »
