Crossing The Last River The Bridge of Life

by Charley Carle

John Griffeth lived in the western part of the United States during the depression years of dryness, dustbowls and drought. Married in 1929, the Griffeths watched their farming dreams blow into dust. Finally, they gathered their little son and their meager belongings and moved east. Continue reading »

Mormon TV Ads

Religious ‘Bait-and-Switch’!

Are the media campaigns reality or just rhetoric? LDS TV ads appeal to the emotions and portray an appearance of true Christianity. So what are the trophies hidden behind this Mormon showcase? The ads promise better lives, but the statistics are in opposition (primarily 1990 stats). Continue reading »

Quakers On Mars?

by Charley Carle

I asked a Mormon missionary today, “Do you think there are any Quakers on Mars?” He just didn’t know either way. I wondered since Joseph Smith said there were people on the moon who looked like Quakers. Yet Neil Armstrong found it a barren, airless, uninhabitable wasteland. Mormonism’s founder declared, “The inhabitants of the moon are more of a uniform size than the inhabitants of the earth, being about 6 feet in height. ” They dress very much like the Quaker style and are quite general in style, or fashion of dress. “They live to be very old; coming generally, near a thousand years. “This is the description of them as given by Joseph the seer, and he could ‘See’ whatever he asked the father in the name of Jesus to see,” (Journal of Oliver B. Huntington, Vol. 3, p. 166; as recorded at the Utah State Historical Society). Continue reading »

Angel Moroni: Fixed, Fallen, Or Fiction? – It’ll Never Fly!

by Charley Carle

For those who study Mormonism, here are several problems with the Moroni story.

He allegedly appeared to Joseph Smith as an angel of light. “And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.” (2 Cor. 11:14-15) Continue reading »

Hmm! Mormonism? (Sounds Shaky!)

by Charley Carle

JOSEPH SMITH SAW AN ANGEL IN THE FIRST VISION not Jesus, according to Brigham Young. “But He did send His angel to this same obscure person, Joseph Smith jun., who afterwards became a Prophet, Seer, and Revelator, and informed him that he should not join any of the religious sects of the day, for they were all wrong” (Journal of Discourses, Vol. 2, p. 171). Either Brigham Young was wrong as a Mormon prophet, the Mormon Church is wrong, or it was all just a story. Continue reading »

Research on Mormonism

by Charley Carle

Friend, have you examined your church objectively? Please, do not let a religious organization control your thinking. If you believe Mormonism teaches truth, will you compare it to the Bible? Think of the eternal impact upon your family if a church leads you astray. As a poor dying person may be fearful of a medical exam, people fear the truth due to religious conditioning. May God guard you from the bitterness that so easily follows deception! Do not react against God – the Father and Jesus Christ were not the Ones who misled you. May God bless your search. Mystery, Mind-Control and the Mormon Church!

by Charley Carle

That old struggle to domineer!

The LDS hierarchy is trying to silence Christians through a weak point of censorship. The news likened it to Goliath (the Philestine) challenging David (God’s servant). When Jerald and Sandra Tanner discovered that secret panel to escape the dark cave of Mormonism, they left a sign that points to safety and lit the lantern to light the way! The Tanners posted one of the great, dark secrets of Mormonism – how to remove your name from it’s roles. As legal proceedings continue, the information is removed from the Utah Lighthouse Ministry website. Watch for more at: http://www.utlm.org/ Continue reading »

Zane Grey and Mormonism

by Charley Carle

In “RIDERS OF THE PURPLE SAGE” Zane Grey wrote graphically about Utah and the old west. Through fiction, he keenly alludes to the deviant beliefs and practices associated with Mormonism. The information below quotes from his 1912 book, making comparisons to the 1996 movie. Continue reading »

The Mormon Church and White Supremacy

by Charley Carle

The Long Abuse of Dark-skinned People!

RACISM is strong in Salt Lake City! The only Indian from the General Authority of The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints exposed the racist leadership! Navajo, George P. Lee, complained, “You are slowly causing a…spiritual slaughter…” and promoting “white supremacy.” (The Provo Daily Herald, Sep. 3, 1989). Continue reading »

Mormons, Christmas, and God

by Charley Carle

Mormons are often offended when someone maintains that they are not Christians. The LDS First Article of Faith reads, “We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.” Christians claim that this is not the Jesus of the Bible, although there are historical similarities and the spelling is identical. The Apostle Paul warned about deceivers who appear as “the apostles of Christ” but they preach “another Jesus” (2 Cor. 11:13,4). Jesus foretold, “For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets” (Mat. 24:24,5,11). Continue reading »

Mormon Prophets and Their Search for the True God

The first prophet of Mormonism declared, “I am going to tell you how God came to be God. We have imagined and supposed that God was God from all eternity. I will refute that idea, and take away the veil…” (Come Unto Me, p.95). Who did he refute? Mormon 9:10 reads, “And now, if ye have imagined up unto yourselves a god who doth vary, and in whom there is shadow of changing, then have ye imagined up unto yourselves a god who is not a God of miracles.” Is God eternal? Moroni 7:22 says, “For behold, God knowing all things, being from everlasting to everlasting…” “he is unchangeable from all eternity to all eternity.” Moroni 8:18. Either words do not mean anything or Joseph Smith refuted the Book of Mormon! Continue reading »

Whatever Happened to Truth and Openness?

by Charley Carle

Who is the real God? Can Brigham Young clear this up? He declared officially that ADAM is God! “When our father Adam came into the Garden of Eden… He is MICHAEL, the archangel, the ANCIENT OF DAYS… HE is our FATHER and our GOD, and the Only God with whom we have to do.” (Journal of Discourses, Vol. 1, pp. 50-51, 1854). Apostle Bruce R. McConkie in a speech at the BYU Marriot Center in 1980 said, “The devil keeps this heresy alive as a means of obtaining converts to cultism.” Imagine naming a university after Brigham Young! Sunday school children know better! The gods of Mormonism read like the loose-leaf binders explaining evolution! What happens when spiritual leaders, popes or prophets, do not know God? Can we trust them to show the way to eternal life? Continue reading »

LDS teaching versus the Bible
