Why Galilee?

Why did Jesus pick Galilee as the place where his disciples would see Him?

Answer: 

Multiple reasons

  1. The Pilgrim Feasts were over and it was normative for Galileans to return to Galilee until next Pilgrim feast 50 Days later (Shavuoth/ Weeks; Pentecost). By returning to His earthly home in Galilee Jesus was showing He had totally accomplished the Messianic Fulfillment of Passover and First Fruits which had to take place in Jerusalem. This is a little complicated to explain. Answers to such questions are usually found in the Torah. Only Jews who completed the two Pilgrim Feasts could return home. If someone became ritually defiled (by a touching a corpse or pagan contact or something inadvertant like a male coming into unintentional contact with menstual blood – all kinds of stuff; see for instance John 18:28) . If a Jew did not totally fulfill the feasts they had to remain in Jerusalem for a whole month of purification to observe the two paschal feasts Pesach and First Fruits. By Jesus going home He signified He achieved the fulfilment as the Paschal Lamb and as The First Fruit (1 Corinthians 15:20). Continue reading →

I had always promised before the Lord Jesus two things concerning Christian TV. The first is that I would never “Ride in Ahab’s Chariot”; that is I would not appear on the same channel, network, or station that broadcast heretical money preachers. I would not want Moriel to be misunderstood as endorsing such deceivers who have prostituted God’s Word or allow us to be identified with them in the eyes of the secular public.  They discredit the Gospel of Salvation to the world, twisting the truth into a financial con game.  Continue reading →

The Torah/ Law of Moses is the Old Testament shadow of the substance found in Christ revealed in The New Testament. Parasoxousin mean to put truth next to error to camouflage the error; all cults, false teachers, false prophets, and false religions have elements of truth they sow next to error. Opposition When We Take a Stand

There’s a Bible school here that has a 3 week course for people from various countries.  This year Champ decided to attend.  After deciding, one of his friends from Bangkok offered him a job with a good salary, but he had to start right away.  Champ had been looking for a job and this would have been a good one, but he turned it down because of his commitment to go to the Bible school.  His friend called a couple times more and it was a big temptation for Champ but he stuck with his decision to go to the Bible school.  Now he has been really blessed in attending this school and was also a blessing to others. The floor is now filled and will be compacted on Monday. Then a layer of sand before the water proof is layed then the slab is poured. The building which is basically a large room will be tiles and the walls completed before plastering. Then is the inside walling, doors and ceiling. Then we can move in (Please Jesus).
