The biased media machine is always prepared to propagate this myth as is the left wing academic establishment. In a recorded video Barak Obama even once referred to his “Muslim faith”, irrespective of whether that was an error or not, and it thus remains unclear if he indeed is a Muslim or not. Headlines in the news this past week were an ugly reminder that violence is on the increase all over America. TV viewers cringed as images of the dead and wounded being rushed into ambulances in Fort Hood, Texas and Orlando, Florida interrupted regular programming. Collective tears were shed for the hysterical parents desperately trying to find out if their young people were among the victims.
The week before, the Bay Area reeled over the news of a 15-year-old girl who had been gang-raped, robbed, beaten and left for dead outside the Richmond High School dance she attended with her friends. Reportedly ten young men, some of them minors, took part in the brutal assault, taking turns at her. Many dance-goers stood around and watched, laughed, took pictures and egged the deviates on. None of the onlookers came to her assistance or even bothered to call the police. Finally, a student heard second hand that a naked girl was laying unconscious in the dark by the dumpster and called 911. Those who told her about it said they didn’t want to be snitches and so wouldn’t call for help for fear of retaliation. The victim survived but no doubt is scarred for life.
With all the talk in the liberal press about hate crimes, the local news was totally silent over the fact that the victim was a white “church-goer” and all the attackers were Latino in a region where illegal immigration is protected under the “safe haven, sanctuary” laws. If it were the other way around or if the victim were gay, they would have been all over it.

Dear Friends
We want to end this year giving praise to our God for His supply that he has often wrought through you. When David Lister asked me to put together a review of the year I felt quite daunted as so much has happened and I did not want to forget to thank anyone for their input. So that’s why I want to begin with thanks giving to our God and to our supporters for all that you have done. From Jacob and Dave Lister who always mention the work wherever they go, to all our administrators who are so supportive, to my family who put up with my insecurities and especially to my parents who host me. The 2nd annual Women on the Watch conference held last week-end in Ontario, California, turned out to be a wonderful time for like-minded believers to focus on the theme: “Behold the Bridegroom Cometh.” Although the conference featured women speakers, the men who attended were also blessed to look toward the soon return of the Lord Jesus Christ from a unique perspective. The line-up of the armies opposing the state of Israel and the nature of the terrorists who threaten the entire world were not the focus. Themes like spiritual deception and the moral landslide of the world were examined in detail and the excitement of the soon return of Jesus was contagious.

Well Hlobo(summer) has arrived here. I can see that our solar shower will be used for cooling off once the temps start to get really high.
Our hut feels more and more like home now. Salvi has put up a secure clothes line for Di. Once we have secured a section of the garden from cows and chickens it will be great to start the planting for our veggie garden. We have sown a small piece of lawn in front of our home to help keep the mud down to a minimum for when the rains come and have used the wonderful supply of rocks around us to make paths and walk areas. The mud is incredible here, I can see why they used it for there huts. It is a clay soil that builds on itself. Our shoes end up being platforms like something out of the 70’s. It is near impossible to try and get it off once it has dried. Hence the paths and grass!!!!! Continue reading »

I observed a very sad scene on TBN last week, August 20, 2009, on the Praise the Lord program originating from TBN’s new studio in New York City. The night’s hosts were Matthew and Laurie Crouch and their first guests were TBN’s founder Paul Crouch Sr. and his best friend Benny Hinn. Hinn was there to promote his new book, Blood in the Sand, a book on the subject of the Middle East in Bible prophecy. Very little time was spent on the book. Host Matt Crouch took this segment as an opportunity to confront his elderly father about his belief in the soon return of the Lord, a hope that the younger Crouch obviously does not share with his dad.
The disrespect Matt showed in confronting his dad on world-wide television — on the network his dad built — was astonishing. Paul Sr. has had a divided family on this issue of Dispensationalism as his wife Jan bought into the Kingdom-Now heresy of the late Earl Paulk decades ago and even won her husband over to it, at least for a short time. But now as he is facing the declining years of his life, he is taking a strong stand on his pre-mil/pre-trib heritage resulting in the scorn of his son who seems to despise his eschatology.
